You Can Copy Video Games

There has never been an easier way to create backups for all of your media files than now. All you need to do is download video game copy software and you will be on your way to protecting all of the discs in your collection. It is very important to create duplicates of your games, especially the rarest to find. It is because you do not want the originals to run the risk of becoming damaged. It would be much better if you could create a backup copy and play that instead of the actual game. Then you do not have to worry about any problems that could potentially bust the original.
The technology of video game copy software have really taken off in the past few years. You will now be able to burn backups in record time. But do not think it will cost you an arm and a leg. These new programs are less than $50 and they run perfectly. You will not even have to pay anything after the initial purchase. Once you buy the video game copy software, you will be able to start copying all of your discs and really give the originals the protection they deserve.
The price of new video games is extremely high at the moment and it does not look like they will be getting cheaper anytime soon. That is why you need to make sure to create backups for your most important inventory. Say for example that one of your favorite games becomes scratched beyond any recognition by some unknown event. If you have no backup, you need to go to the store and drop another large sum of money to replace it. Now, let's say you made a copy of that same game. Then the same situation happened and you came home to see your burned copy was really scratched and it did not work anymore. Well, you are still going to have to replace it, but this time you will only spend the cost of one blank disc to recopy the original.
Video game copy software will not only save you huge amounts of money in the long run, but it will also save you from unwanted stress. You will not have to worry about where you leave your games when you are not home or who is allowed to play them. The burned copies can be open for use by anyone and their only punishment for ruining a game will be the cost of one blank disc. Much better than having to buy a brand new game!

Racing Game

I don’t forget trying to play Moto GP 4 on my own PS2 years ago and also appeared to be totally pleased; I have never played a game that have been so well done in terms of riding physics.
The particular newest version with Moto GP promised better still coping with and also physics…
The graphics happen to be executed very well; many of the bikes and also riders, and also the tracks, tend to be almost all authentic and show pretty good. Even though within the bike and also executing high speed the particular riders view is actually slightly blurred… for the reason that the particular bike will certainly obviously vibrate at high speed, which can be tough to get accustomed to although is additionally great realism. The particular riding views are usually more or less the same as the previous titles from the franchise, nonetheless there’s a new feature towards the visor view.
Whenever turning corners the particular view will certainly tilt with the entire bike, defining it as feel as in the event the player is actually on the bike. Crashes sometimes happens whenever they want and show rather real once you flip topside over the bike. More often than not you won’t crash at higher speeds all too often although at lower speeds your bike feels weighty and also very difficult to manoeuvre; too much acceleration may possibly just simply spin your own bike out or maybe flip you backwards from a wheelie.
The overall game sound effects and also sound track tend to be on par to previous titles from the Moto GP franchise. The particular sport’s progress has changed just how we ride and also upgrade the particular bike, so this means exhaust improvements as well. This implies the bikes do not sound because signify or maybe have that raw power and also metal sound. You might say which is also good. The particular menu music and also background music through game seriously isn’t that great, even though.
The particular controls tend to be basic and also easy. The braking and also steering usually are not as private because they might have been. I found myself under braking and also drifting off the track strategy to many times intend for my liking although this specific needs being employed to and also after a few years (a long while) the gamer is able to stay efficiently within the track. Even though upon full simulation the particular gamer normally takes the bike within the grass at full speed not having dropping it, which usually can make this specific simulation game really feel quite arcade. Even devoid of the full traction controls and also bike assist the idea continue to feels because the game will not likely help you have access to the full awesomeness from the bike’s power. At lower speeds the particular bike is actually a little bit harder to touch while using slow steering, and also the bike also can feel heavy whenever flipping over through one chicane towards the other.
There are many modes for any gamer to play through, such as the world championship, where the gamer can certainly ride as his or her most liked rider through the Moto GP stable and also race through almost all 18 circuits during the season. You can also get single races, time trials, challenge modes plus a career mode the location where the gamer may make his or her own rider, decide on their particular team and also riding franchise, bike size and also sponsors. Through the season it is possible to upgrade your own bike, which include tyres, gearbox and also suspension as well as change your own sponsorship completely and also ride over a new bike. While using multiplayer you can journey like a team and also earn a lot more team points by the end of each race, or maybe play slit screen against one another. Additionally, you will have the ability to play on-line together with up to 20 gamers throughout each race. Together with most of these modes to play through this specific title certainly has replay value.

Raid Finder

We are working hard to introduce an exciting new feature to the game World of Warcraft in patch 4.3: the Raid Finder system. While it presents unprecedented technical hurdles and may change before it’s released, we wanted to provide you with an early look at what we hope to accomplish, and share some details that we’ve worked out, which will lend some insight as to how the new feature is planned to work.
So what is the Raid Finder? It will be a brand new grouping feature that superficially works much like the Dungeon Finder. Instead of five-player dungeons, the Raid Finder is designed to help players quickly and easily form a pick-up raid for a specially tuned version of the current tier of raid content: the Dragon Soul raid. It’s not intended to replace organized raiding though. You’ll still need friends and guild members to help you conquer the toughest raiding challenges that patch 4.3 has to offer.
As we currently plan to roll out the Raid Finder feature in patch 4.3, level-85 players will be able to use it to access a 25-player version of the Dragon Soul raid dungeon, which will culminate in a glorious battle against Deathwing himself. Dragon Soul will be split into three different difficulties. The Raid Finder provides access to a new tier of difficulty, which in this case has split the raid into two wings, each containing four boss encounters. Meanwhile, raiders will still need to join with friends and guildmates to face the more challenging normal and heroic versions of the raid, since the Raid Finder cannot be used to access those higher difficulty levels. Naturally, because they’re harder to defeat, the normal and heroic version of Dragon Soul will drop more powerful lootalong with prestigious rewards such as achievements, titles, and epic mounts. Rich rewards still await those who face the Raid Finder version, which we hope will introduce the thrills and epic experience of raiding to a broader audience than ever before.
You can access the Raid Finder through the ‘Raid’ button in the menu at the bottom of the default user interface. The Raid Finder should feel familiar to Dungeon Finder users. Just fire it up, select your class role, click the ‘Find Raid’ button, and get ready to face Deathwing’s jaw of doom.

The Real Effects Of Shooting Games

There is no reason to worry that your kid would turn into a sociopath or a serial killer when he or she gets hooked on video games, particularly those with extremely violent and gory content. However, psychologists suggest that parents be on their toes and observe any palpable changes in their kid's behavior, and if they become impulsive, moody and anti-social, then they may have to take necessary action and reduce the time spent by their kids playing their favorite shooting game. Violent-laden video games, which include those that belong to the ego-shooter or first-person shooter genre - are always under close scrutiny by parents and advocacy groups who are worried about the ill-effects of such games on growing kids and teenagers.

Have you been gaming for a while now? Are you fond of playing shooting games rather than the other types? Does shooting aliens, zombies, enemies represent the world to you? If yes, you are certainly not alone! There are millions like you whose world evolves around shooting games. There has been a surge in the number of players playing shooting games. What evokes such an interest in the shooting game? Game enthusiasts say that the simplicity is the factor that lures people towards playing the shooting games. The shooting games that are played with a Sniper are known as Sniper games. Majority of the researches and studies about this phenomenon indicate the need for us to focus more on the personality of the player instead on the general content of these video games.

The psychological impact of video games is a complex issue, and there are simply a lot of misconceptions and confusion about the real effects of video games with violent themes on the psychological and mental disposition of growing kids and teenagers. We cannot simply label an ego shooting or first person shooting game as either good or bad. There are several variables that need to be taken into account when assessing the real impact of such violent-laden games on the personality and behavior of an individual. The experiment showed that video players who tend to manifest hostile behavior were those who have abnormally high levels of neuroticism and excessively low levels of conscientiousness and agreeableness. The research divided the participants into 2 groups - one group played video games with violent theme and the other group played games with non-violent theme. These fun games are not very hard initially but require a certain amount of skill as you progress in the game. You don't need to be a soldier of a cop to enjoy these gun games. All you need is an open minded person with a taste of adventure.

What's The Key Of Simulation Game ?

Gaming effects programmers have started to use a few pages from the books that Hollywood has been using for many years now. Instead of using cartoon style images, more and more games are drawing on, no pun intended, photographic styled images. For gamers that are looking for an authentic "combat style" experience from their airplane simulator game play, add ons and sometimes even cheats, this is a HUGE benefit. Making the airplane simulator experience as authentic and as close to reality as possible is all the rage these days. One way modern games are doing this is by using forced feedback controls that send reverberations through the controls.

The market today offers a wide variety of flight simulator games. Before dashing out to buy the first flying game you can find there are a few things that you should keep in mind. At the very least you need to keep them in mind if you want to hold out for the best simulator game for your needs and for your computer. These items should always be considered when purchasing an airplane flight simulator game. There are just some things that make some of these games infinitely more realistic than others and these three should grab the attention of dedicated gamers around the world. The layout of the instruments impressed my wife and she now has a pretty good idea of how things have been when we have taken trips abroad. The cloud presence is also realistic and of course the thrill of flying over well known landmarks or even your own house is awesome.

These games that seem so real, you will feel like you are actually playing the game on the real venue, on a real setting. Simulation games are reenactment of various activities according to Wikipedia. It is best observed on the budding car racing games. NASCAR and Formula 1 are two companies that provide the best racing games. People easily get attracted to their games because of the entertainment that it brings. It maybe just an imaginary racing game, but its imaginary situation, race track and car driving madly through cities, countryside or even on fantasy environments are factors that enthusiasts are looking for. Of course the big thrill is to take from a particular airport and fly off to a new destination, there are hundreds of airports to choose from in these games. There are no restrictions to types of aircraft. Jet, propeller, old, new, helicopters and just about anything you could wish for. Shame I could not play with this in the office.

Adventures Games - Story-driven Games

Adventures games are one of the most appreciated and story-driven games nowadays. These games are played by every individual including kid. These types of games possess a real immersive feature due to which every individual is attracted towards it. There are various types of free adventure games available on internet that you can play. Mainly, these games are about solving puzzles, exploring world and about stories. Some of the most widely played games are Blade Runner, Bad Mojo Grim Fandango etc. While playing these types of games online you will never come to know what next you are going to obtain. Some of the other games are based on sci-fi, noir, horror, mysteries, westerns, comedies, detectives etc. So, there are various games that can be played by people of all ages.

The game takes you into the world of John Rochord who is a miner and has to mine valuable minerals for his employer called Skyrig. But four years later his job is in jeopardy and he risks being fired because he hasn't found any valuable materials. His luck suddenly turns for the better and he discovers a precious ore that changes his destiny forever. Greed and deception become the order of the day and Rochord and his team become pawns fighting bad guys hired by powerful corporations. John and his love Skylar battle tough mercenaries throughout the game and must use their wits to stay ahead in order to survive. For those who played Shadow Complex you will find a lot of similarity and this will give you the insight to solve all the complex puzzles thrown your way. The adventure is full of surprises and there is plenty of excitement in the battles you encounter. Rochord has a number of weapons he can depend on, but the primary ones are the G-Lifter and the Rock Blaster. The first one grabs enemies faraway and the second one is a gun blazing no holds barred weapon making the terminator look like a Cinderella. John can scale great heights and move heavy objects not possible on Earth. All this makes for a great adventure game unmatched by anything you played before.

However, adventure games cannot be considered as role-playing games where action, 3D adventure, point management and team building is involved. It cannot be considered as side scroller action games like Rayman or Super Mario or it cannot be considered as puzzle games such as Tetris or Pandora’s Box.  Adventures games are mainly based on puzzle solving that too within a narrative framework. Moreover, there are no or few action elements are involved. Some of the other genres of these games are point-and-click adventure and graphic adventure. While playing adventure games you need to explore depending upon the type of interface. The player needs to explore the world by following the correct directions. There are some adventure games where highest amount of exploration is required. Moreover, to play these types of games the player needs to walk around the objects available in order to find the hotspots. Sometimes the combat is too much and you will die easily and you'll wonder why the developers have placed so much fighting in the game when the puzzle solving is supposed to be the theme of the whole affair. The game lacks focus and could have really been a masterpiece if more seriousness was incorporated into the gameplay. The puzzles get more difficult to solve as you progress through the levels and many gamers will struggle to complete the game.

New Action Game

Games have become like movies when it comes to versatility. Thousands are released every year and the count is consistently rising as new companies are entering the field. It is a boundlessly growing industry that features countless opportunities for programming professionals and artists alike. Lot of research and development activities is rendered behind the scene in order to device better and faster results. Games are classified into several genres and the most popular ones belong to the action category. Action games deal with expressively charged combat sequences and war scenarios. Games on army and defense soldiers are extremely in demand. Players get deeply involved with such realistic games. Such games are created as an illustration of the political and racial wars presently witnessed by our world. For the same reason, people develop a special affinity with these games. In other words, we can claim that social psychology is working in favor of such games.

This new game has been featured in the AppStore soon after its release and it is quite interesting and addicting to play. The most important and the good news as well is that this app is available for free and does not require the user to pay any download cost. The only aim of the players is to defend their food from the flies that try to fly away with it as the player will lose the life and the game ends when they take and leave with the food at the other end. It is an action packed game that keeps the players active and engaged in its addictive and interesting game play. The flies start appearing and they try to reach the food kept on the opposite side of the screen and the player has to smash them by tapping on them so that they do not get there. In case the flies take all the food and fly away the user loses a life. The player is provided with three lives in the beginning and as the flies escape with the food, it diminishes and leads to loss of life. Once the flies empty all the food on the opposite end, the player runs out of life.

Every game has a first person character represented and played by the gamer. The story is made interesting with the help of other characters surrounding the life and events of this first person. The quality of such games is not merely dependent on the amount of action involved, but also on relevant concepts and degree of suspense involved. When the player kills the small type A flies, he/she gets 5 points and by doing the same for the big type A ones it is 10 points. The players have to kill the type A flies to get points but not the type B ones as they are not dangerous for the game play. These flies do not grab away the food and so there is no need to hurt them. If they are hurt, they will reduce 20 points from the score and they are too powerful with options that can even terminate the game play. There are two types of sprays and the first one will kill the flies at that instant immediately while the second one does not kill them immediately but slows them and makes them take a long time to reach the food. The hearts keep moving on the screen in the same direction as the flies do and collecting each heart will add an extra life to the game play.

Different Opinions About What Are The Best Card Games

There would be different opinions about what are the best card games available online for Indian because every person has a preference for which card game do they enjoy the most but the truth is that Indians love to play card games and now this love is slightly shifting. No, they are not playing other games but the difference is that they are playing the same old card games online. Rummy is one of the most popular card games in India and is played by commuters in trains, friends on weekends and holidays, women in social parties, men in local clubs. The most exciting thing about rummy is that the uniqueness it offers with each game and moreover the kind of skill that one has to apply to arrange the cards is just a great mix of skill and intellect.

The object of the game is to take over the world by controlling illuminati societies such as, but not limited to: The Bavarian Illuminati, The Discordian Society, The UFOs, The Servants of Cthulu, The Bermuda Triangle, The Society of Assassins, The Network and The Gnomes of Zurich; keep in mind, some societies will only be available by purchasing separate expansion packs or stand-alone games. As for gameplay, in Illuminati Deluxe players will trade, form alliances, and backstab each other in order to gain control of a world represented a group of cards such as: Secret Masters of Fandom, CIA, International Communist, etc. In order to win, players must complete the aim of the game; for example, building a power structure consisting of a given number of cards, or controlling at one card of each alignment; though, there are many other ways to win.

With this set of cards, you'll have new tactics at your disposal. For example, use the media to propagate headlines that read about health care form and a collapsing financial system to control a docile population with fear. Furthermore, this game set introduces "New World Cards" to your collection, which means that your cards will now affect all players and not just the one who put it down. To win, players must control new groups like bloggers, reality television shows, and Intelligent Design. But beware; players will have new opponents to look out for such as the bird flu and bobble heads. Most of us would have tried their hands on these card games with their friends and family members and most of you would try and find excuses to meet up with friends to play these games but the inability to meet up with friends to play these card games for hours is what takes you to websites that offer card games online. When it comes to playing card games online in India, you would not find online version of 29 card game and Dehla-pakad but you would find good enough versions of teen patti, poker and rummy.

Playing Dance Games

People can now communicate with their loved ones who are abroad through chat and even see their loved ones through the camera. Student's lives were also made easier because they can now do painless research through the World Wide Web. Not only are computers used in business and in schools, they are now also used for numerous recreational activities like gaming and exercise. In conjunction with this, a variety of gaming consoles and devices have been created by different companies. The sensor is in a bar shaped horizontally which connects to a small base that has a motorized pivot. The Kinect sensor comes with a camera, a sensor and microphone. It is designed to be capable of 3D motion capture, voice recognition and facial recognition. For now, the voice recognition capability of the device is only available in the United States, Japan, Canada and the United Kingdom. It will be available in 2011 in other areas.

Horse Race Game is a giant creator of online horse racing that has been designed after almost a decade of crucial study and research of race horses' natures, their behaviour on the paddock and race tracks under varying conditions, their racing styles depending upon the condition of the field and also their stamina and speed. Not just the horses, even the race tracks have been the subject for this study in order to develop them precisely. The games can be played on the consoles of their choice and whenever they want, off the grid. There's breeding from choicest sires and broodmares, stable management, foal training and much more. The players can develop all their racing skills from breeding a new foal to competing in challenges with their 'ready for a fight' contenders. The bettors can work on their betting skills without the risks of losing money while the players can completely bypass any physical injury and still win a real prize on a virtual race.

Gaming is the mind's way to indulge as it processes information and continues to work. Mindless games do little to boost thought and calculation. What you need is the classy online 3D games that may seem impossible to win encouraging you constantly to take up the challenge and prove your true racing skills. There will be an on-screen virtual dancer which will show you Zumba moves which you will have to follow. Make mistakes and the virtual image of moves will get red, orange or green if you do them right. All the time you will get monitored by the Wii Remote, so be careful on how you perform! Do not worry, the moves are easy to follow, that is why this fitness dancing program is so popular. The game comes with modes that are like tutorials for people who have just begun dancing. Players have the opportunity to look at the moves closely by opting to slow down the dance moves.

Choosing Appropriate Games For Kids

To my surprise the actual number of games is quite big and very well spread in all the different game genres. From the sports games that got the Wii to this popularity to puzzle, cards and casino games that I would have never thought of playing with the remote and on my HDTV. All of the categories are full with titles and products waiting to fit every taste and gaming desire. The Wii games list is enormous and there is even Deal or No Deal for Wii.That movement would eventually diminish the magnet's strength and let the child's small hands remove the thing that had been "grabbing" the surface. Performance of that simple activity would make for some great playtime. The first bit of knowledge to keep in mind when picking out games to play is to remember who the games are for. Activities that are too challenging can turn people off to the fun.

Revelations is a historic action adventure game set to be released on three platforms. In just one day, on November 15, 2011, it will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3. The PC version of the game has been delayed two weeks, and will be released on November 29. It is recommended that you have played the preamble to this game, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The fourth installment of the Assassin's Creed series is a direct sequel to Brotherhood. Three characters from previous Assassin's Creed games are making a return in Revelations: Ezio, Altair, & Desmond. It has been announced that this will be the last game in the series to feature Ezio and Altair, as main characters.

That love can be used to develop another of the great games for small kids. That water based game involves the sorting of objects according to which ones sink and which ones float. This game calls for placement of a water filled container on the ground. That container should be surrounded by various items, some that will float, and others that will not. The youngster who sees the water and the loose items will automatically start throwing things into the water.A heavy ball rolls faster than a lightweight ball. That simple fact can be used to create yet another playtime activity. Like all the others, it helps the child to see the difference between two items.

The influnce of playing computer games

Computer games are games played on a personal computer, play station and the like. Computer games are there to promote entertainment. They are created in order to provide people some options to entertain themselves. Those games that have stunts and actions are given a warning sign that it is strictly prohibited. However, there are children that imitate those stunts in real life, and that is the negative impact of such computer games. Indeed, the most negative impact to these is the addiction of people in these games. Somehow, this issue is ignored by many, but this negative impact of addicting games needs a close attention.
Addiction is a problem, no matter what reason it is, whether from drugs or drink or in terms of games, it is still a big problem. When we talk about addicting games, the people who are playing with this spent a lot of their time in front of the computer. Those people are playing the whole day that even their other activities in daily lives are forgotten. Because of these addicting games, people miss their responsibilities like going school, doing homework, study, and even their social lives. They are not minding about their real life when they started playing their favorite game. All of these things are the negative impacts of computer games related to addiction.
The games that having a millions of players gets a higher budget marketing effort, and with the help of the addicted gamers, there are lots of time and money wasted on games every year. In addition, there are also free games available for children meaning you dont have to pay for this. For this reason, it seems like the addicted gamers will still increased in the next generation.
In order to get rid of this huge problem, they should have a self control and will only play games for entertainment purposes only. They should not let this addicting games control themselves, it should start between them. Instead of wasting their time to these addicting games, they should make plans to enjoy themselves and they should know how to put a limit. The one who is addicted already should fix and restraints their self from this thing and should get involve in real life activities in order to keep their mind off of the games.

Good computer games may help old people with Parkinson's disease

Playing computer-based physical therapy games can help people with Parkinson's disease improve their gait and balance, according to a new pilot study led by the UCSF School of Nursing and Red Hill Studios, a California serious games developer.

More than half the subjects in the three-month research project showed small improvements in walking speed, balance and stride length.

UCSF and Red Hill were the first research team in the United States to receive federal funding in the burgeoning field of low-cost computerized physical therapy games. Unlike off-the-shelf computer games, these specialized games encourage scientifically tested specific physical movements to help people with functional impairments and diseases.

Teams at Red Hill and UCSF collaborated to produce nine "clinically inspired'' games that were designed to improve coordination in people with Parkinson's disease, a chronic, progressive neuromuscular disease characterized by shaking, slowness of movement, limb and trunk rigidity. The clinical team members at UCSF focused on specific body movements and gestures that their previous research had shown to be beneficial for staving off the physical declines of Parkinson's.

The UCSF team was led by Glenna Dowling, RN, PhD, professor and chair of the UCSF Department of Physiological Nursing, and Marsha Melnick, PT, PhD, a clinical professor in the UCSF School of Medicine's Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science and professor emerita of the Department of Physical Therapy at San Francisco State University.

The Red Hill team then designed physical games, similar to Wii and Kinect games, in which subjects win points by moving their bodies in certain ways. Each game has multiple difficulty levels so that the clinical team could customize the therapeutic games for each subject's particular abilities.

"Each subject found his or her own gaming 'sweet spot' – the spot where the physical challenge was not too hard, not too easy, just right,'' said Bob Hone, creative director of Red Hill Studios and the lead principal investigator of the study. "And when subjects mastered one game level, they often moved on to harder levels for more beneficial effect. The subjects improved their games scores while improving their gait and balance.''

Red Hill developed a custom sensor suit with nine tracking sensors to analyze subjects' movements with higher resolution and accuracy than is possible with consumer gaming platforms. The PC-based system sent encrypted data to a secure database allowing the research teams to track the subjects' performance daily.

"From the data tracking we could see that there were some subjects who were playing the games more than the specified three times a week,'' Hone said. "Because this was a highly structured research study, we actually had to ask them to play less than they wanted.''

The trial involved 20 participants in northern California with moderate levels of Parkinson's disease. After playing the games for 12 weeks, 65 percent of game players demonstrated longer stride length, 55 percent increased gait velocity, and 55 percent reported improved balance confidence.

"These initial studies show the promise of custom-designed physical therapy games promoting specific movements and gestures that can help patients get better,'' Dowling said. "Now that we have this preliminary positive result, we want to conduct a longer term clinical trial with more subjects to confirm these initial findings.''

The study was funded by two Small Business Innovative Research grants totaling $1.1 million from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke – part of the National Institutes of Health.

UCSF is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research, graduate-level education in the life sciences and health professions, and excellence in patient care.

Red Hill Studios is an award winning serious games developer that creates interactive games for health, online science games, and immersive museum exhibitions. It also conducts research into new educational and health gaming paradigms. Red Hill is based in San Rafael, CA.

Starcraft II Wings of Liberty:Best Game of The Month

Starcraft II is a real time strategy (RTS) game where you can pick 3 different races, each with different units. Darko, who was the person who’s view you were watching through, was playing Terran, the human race, and Dusan was playing Protoss, the high-tech alien race. The 3rd race is Zerg, which is the alien beast race.

Each race has it’s own advantages. Darko showed you Terran’s special ability, which is making his buildings lift off. He also mentioned chronoboosting which is Protoss’s special ability. A chronoboost speeds things up like building units and researching things. It’s useful and can be used from the Nexus which is the building that’s used for collecting resources and making probes. The zerg’s advantage is that you can build large armies really quickly since each hatchery produces larvae, and each larvae can turn into 1 or several creatures, meaning you can build units really quickly.

In Starcraft II, the goal is to build and army that can destroy the enemy army, and destroy the enemy base. You can surrender to end the game quicker when you know you’re going to lose, but Darko was stubborn and thought he could get away.

Each race has something that builds their units, something that upgrades them, things that unlock new units, some way of detecting cloaking and a building that makes the workers. Basically, if the enemy can destroy all your workers and your building that makes the workers, you’re screwed and might as well surrender, unless you have enough of a army left to destroy the enemy army and their base.

Starcraft II also has a great campaign. Unlike the first game, there’s only 1 campaign focused around Terran. I personally loved the campaign and it’s cinematics, as well as the story.

The campaign is a continuation of the campaign from the first game, and even if you haven’t played the first game, I think you’ll still enjoy the campaign. But if you find yourself getting confused, then it’s always beneficial to read the back story, which can be conveniently found here: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/game/lore/story-so-far/1.

In further news, Starcraft II is going to have it’s first expansion, Heart of the Swarm. It has some new units and stuff, but the biggest thing is the new campaign. Where the Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty campaign ended, the Heart of the Swarm continues, except from the point of view of the Zerg, with Kerrigan as their leader. I’m excited for this since I think the Starcraft II campaign was amazing so far, and I want to know what happens next.

Well, that’s all I really have to say about that game. It’s available for 60 Canadian dollars at pretty much any store that sells video games. Unlike World of Warcraft though, it’s a one-time purchase, which I think is soooooooo much better then WoW’s 50 dollars every 2 months

DYNASTY WARRIORS GUNDAM 3

OK, so having put in nearly a week's worth of hours into this game, and lacking anything else major to talk about, I figured I'd finally go ahead and post my thoughts about Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, a game which I have mightily enjoyed and, amusingly enough, I've sorta become tech support for.

Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, like its previous 2 sequels, is about fanservice, pretty much. The formula goes something like this--gathered together from 30 years of Gundam anime, side stories, and god knows what else, a handful (OK, 50) characters, their giant robots (called mobile suits) are plonked into a game that involves them beating the holy hell out of other mobile suits by the hundreds of thousands.

. . .and then when you finish the game (SPOILER) there's a bit at the end that says we should all strive for peace. No, really. The cheek of this game being able to say this with a straight face just goddamn kills me. Not that the show isn't guilty of the same kind of thing, of course, but it's somehow more glaring when you plug it into the Dynasty Warriors engine, which basically involves killing people, taking fields, and then killing the big boss.

To be fair, DWG3 has added some tweaks to that formula--now, instead of random fields that are generally indistinguishable from on another apart from maybe having some obstacle or something in them somewhere, there are actual strategic points on the various maps that will help you finish the mission--from catapults that allow fairly instant movement from point to point, to missile bases that allow you to launch missile strikes on enemy fields, to bases that allow you to call reinforcements or stop enemy redeployment.

This is kind of cool, in a sorta Herzog Zwei way (only I could talk about Gundam, itself a niche, and cite something that's even more of a niche. I would be gobsmacked if anyone reading this knows what Herzog Zwei even is) and it kinda works, except there are a few bits where it's kinda buggy. Occasionally the computer will ignore that these locations are supposed to affect the gameplay of the mission and just randomly take fields or drop enemy aces into your territory and generally violate the laws of causality, time, and space, because, well, that's what computers do, really. In situations like this, then, all you can do is just kill every ace on the board and drop the enemy meter down to zero the boss will come the hell out and get his ass killed.

There are other tweaks--the teeth-bleedingly annoying Friendship system from DWG2 has been tweaked, and now is a lot clearer and most importantly, doesn't go down and sabotage your progress. It's still a little opaque--for instance, I had 15 mission unlock because I had one character who was one friendship level below what he shoulda been--but it's a lot better than the nightmare that DWG2's was, trust me.

The Official Mode from DWG1 and 2, that being the mode which allowed you to play as missions from the various anime series has been downgraded into History Missions, which cover the various series just as well and give you the option to play it from both sides in certain cases (which, in one particular case, allows for a different outcome for a critical moment) For those of you who have no real idea where to begin with this Gundam stuff, well this will give you a decent grounding in it in half the time watching 30 years of stuff would.

Online has been heavily overhauled as well, and good thing. The Vs. Missions DWG2 had have been replaced with a slate of missions designed to be impossible to complete alone (SPOILER: They're not) and replaced with missions where you team up with 1-3 other people and kick some ass. They're quite fun and very useful for grinding up your pilot's levels and getting higher-rank plans for your mobile suit (allowing you to customise more powerful suits) and generally, a good way to kill some time--er, when the netcode is stable. It usually is, but somedays you'll have no end of problems with it crapping out as you're trying to start a group mission.

The Story Mode, however, is Fanservice Central. Borrowing liberally from Secret Wars (only better) it involves Our Heroes (and villains) being spirited to the land of NonCanon, wherein they compare notes on how they got there and what they should do next and what the hell is up with the Knight Gundam (it's a long story) showing up, being inscrutable and magic'ing away at appropriately dramatic moments.

It's kinda fun and has a pretty epic sweep. Being that this kind of crossover is tacitly impossible (as these series generally exist in separate time periods and universes) it's cool to see all the evil masterminds from various series unite and all the idealistic pilots form one bloc, and so on. In fact, it was so much fun to see them interact it made me lament that most crossovers in comics don't have this kind of weight to them, now.

So it's pretty cool. I haven't covered in detail the DLC for the game (which, depending on your feelings about DLC may or may not be a deal-breaker) which features a handful of pilots from 00 Gundam and Gundam Unicorn, and a few special missions which were fun to play, but also mighty damn fiddly. The DLC issue is something I vacillate on--here, I'm generally OK with it, but I lament that the bonus pilots can't be more fully integrated into the game--they have no real story modes, nor can they be incorporated into the game and randomly show up in missions for instance. This is a real missed opportunity, I feel.

So in all, it's a pretty fun game. If you look down on Gundam and Dynasty Warriors games as monotonous an inane, this is probably not going to change your opinion any, but if you're the sort of person who likes this sort of thing, it is absolutely the sort of thing you will like. Obviously I do, because I did do a whole Gundam week that one time . . .

FUNNING 3D GAMES

Nintendo finally seems to have found a game that agrees with the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo’s newest game Super Mario 3D Land has made it to the top 15 for GameStop and EB Games. The game is right now available for pre-order and will be released on November 17th. It is one of Nintendo’s newest games to be released for the 3DS to bring new life to the lagging console (when compared to the original DS).
Many of you know that I am not crazy about the 3DS, but I am happy to see that they are working to save it. The regular DS was perfect and I think they once again lost their fan base identity with the 3DS. However, they are working hard to save it and that makes me happy for them. They just need to focus less on the 3D half and more on the traditional functions of the console. They are also releasing Mario Kart 7 on the 4th of December.

Are you planning to buy any of these new games? Since I don’t own a 3DS, it is pretty obvious that I won’t buy these games. However, I do support this new move and hope that it goes as planned for them. They just needed to regroup and find their footing once more. These two new games are a good move in the right direction for them, I do believe.

pc games with no torrents

Is it possible to get free downloadable pc games with no torrents? I don't know but there are plenty out there looking. Some have been successful using torrents and others using Limewire without torrents.

I am not going to guarantee full free downloads of pc games 100% but I've searched some and there are a couple of sites you may want to try. Check out everything-4-free.tk or bengbengpcgames.ucoz.com. These sites claim to give you the full free games with little complaints from the comments. Careful what you do go to though as many of the sites have nasty little viruses attached to them.

Creating computer games helps kids learn

Children at a Spring Branch area after-school program might be forgiven for playing video games all afternoon.
The games they are playing these days are the ones they created themselves, using new computers  and gaming technology donated by Austin-based AMD Technologies.
Taylor Campbell, 9, was one of a dozen or so kids who demonstrated the games they created in game tech class at the recent grand opening of the technology center at the Spring Branch Boys & Girls Club, 8575 Pitner Road.
"This is very fun," said Taylor, as she tracked bouncing balls on a purple screen.
"I like it a lot because the computers are faster, and you can do more."
Ditto for Alvin Ayala, 10, who is planning to create an animals versus humans game using one of the 10 new computers and game tech at the Boys & Girls Club facility.
"I think the new computers help you make the games be better," Alvin said.
  'Changing the game'
AMD donated $36,000 worth of equipment, gaming software and instruction through "Changing the Game," an initiative of the AMD Foundation, whose mission is to inspire kids to learn by teaching them to create their own video games in areas such as the environment and on social issues.
The idea is that kids will acquire science, technology, engineering and math knowledge and skills while doing something they find fun.
"We were so impressed with what the Boys & Girls Club is doing, we wanted to be part of it," said Ward Tisdale, a spokesman for AMD.
As well as strengthening academic education, Tisdale said the game tech program helps promote collaboration and critical thinking, vital skills that are needed for jobs today and in the future.
Club director Gayla Thompson said since they started the game tech program, it has become a big hit across all age groups.
The club, one of 10 in the greater Houston area, caters to approximately 180 girls and boys ages 7- 18 on a weekly basis.

"The kids love it," Thompson said.
"It's exciting for them.
"They're always wanting to show me what they made."
Technology is essential
Angela Hodson, president and chief executive officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston, said AMD's donation allows kids to keep up with the latest technology, which is essential for their growth and ability to get a job.
"We are so excited and thankful to AMD for game tech," Hodson said.
As well as game tech, the Spring Branch club offers lessons in healthy lifestyles, character and leadership, sports and help with academics, in an effort to fulfill the Boys & Girls Club mission to inspire and enable young people, especially those who are disadvantaged, to reach their full potential.games

Dance Central 2 Review

It's been a strange year for rhythm games. While we've seen the "official" demise of Guitar Hero and Rock Band has seemingly been chained in a basement somewhere, traditional franchises have been cast by the wayside to make room for movement-based games as Kinect continues to grow into a viable platform.

You can feel the way you want to about how the success of Kinect has caused a shift in focus for many developers, but it doesn't change the fact that Dance Central 2 is great. For me, it's bittersweet, because I was a big fan of Rock Band, and while it isn't in the ground yet, the buzz has gone silent; however, after experiencing Dance Central 2, I'm not just a fan of Rock Band and Dance Central, I'm a fan of Harmonix.

There's been a metric crap ton of shovelware for Kinect, but Dance Central 2 is not one of those titles. Not only does it contain the same magic that made last year's debut genius, Harmonix has also taken huge steps to make it everything aspiring living room Lady Gagas could want.

Conduit 2 Game Review

Although the Conduit accumulated an admirable chunk of accolades for its technical prowess and engaging multiplayer, its potential rapidly diminished due to lackluster level design and a predictable pace. With Conduit 2, developer High Voltage Software has tweaked the gameplay and added crucial new features to deliver a sequel that still carries a few hiccups but is an overall improvement.
Wasting no time with tedious exposition, Conduit 2 thrusts the player - once again in the worn combat boots of ex-Secret Service agent Michael Ford - into a globe-spanning manhunt for the treacherous John Adams via portal-like conduit devices. Along the way, Ford uncovers yet more nuggets of conspiracy and subterfuge while preparing an especially cold dish of revenge for Adams and his shadowy organization, the Trust.
In a dramatic shift from the Conduit's confining Washington D.C. setting, Conduit 2 tosses in various locates and features more imaginative level design than the Capitol's bland and stifling corridors. This time around, Ford's mission sends him to exotic destinations such as China, Siberia, and even the fabled city of Atlantis, resulting in some terrific vistas of rocky mountain ranges and stormy skies.
An increased amount of scripted events keeps the momentum at a steady rate. However, I found it difficult to take advantage of creating impromptu cover by tipping over tables and vending machines; waltzing into the middle of a room didn't diminish my chances of survival in the slightest. Additionally, the heightened eye candy doesn't fully mask each zone's linearity. While the path sometimes splits into tactically advantageous routes, I'd inevitably wind up in an area that'd be locked down tight until every foe was defeated.
Thankfully, a few over-the-top boss fights offset the stagnancy somewhat. It's not every day that shooter gamers can square off against a gargantuan metal sea serpent that breathes lasers, but High Voltage managed to incorporate traditional elements of boss battles - such as glowing weak points - into a genre typically bereft of massive beasts to sink bullets into.
As one of the few exclusive first-person shooters for the Wii, Conduit 2's near flawless execution of its robust control scheme is a welcome carryover from the previous game. Every button of the Wii Remote can be reassigned for custom control setups, but there's also a plethora of tweakable settings that include turning speed, cursor sensitivity, and dead zone adjustments. The payoff is an extremely satisfying shooting experience, as lining up headshots became a snap once I tailored the game to my preferences.
Conduit 2 is a definite step up from its first incarnation, but can't quite grasp its full potential. The single-player falters due to ho-hum combat and moronic Al, but the top-notch controls and enjoyable multiplayer just might be enough to push this second attempt over the top.

US, South Korean war games concern China

Chinese military strategists Sunday gave a mixed interpretation of a planned joint military drill by the US and South Korean navies, reportedly due to start today in the Yellow Sea, with some warning that it would risk challenging China's strategic bottom line and its coastal defense, while some others suggested a spontaneous war game taking a US aircraft carrier as a target.

South Korea and the United States agreed to stage joint naval drills today in the Yellow Sea off South Korea's western coast in what analysts say is a show of force following the alleged North Korea torpedo attack on a South Korean warship, Seoul's Yonhap News Agency reported June 18.

The exercises will address scenarios, such as thwarting special forces' infiltration into the South, detecting North Korean submarines, and combined operations of the Navy and Air Force, a military official of the South was quoted by Yonhap as saying.

However, it was unclear whether the exercise would take place as reported. But the planned action, in which a US aircraft carrier is due to participate, triggered a wave of public outcry in China.

The two governments were originally scheduled to hold naval exercises in early June but postponed them to later this month to "ensure that the joint exercise is better organized and more effective," South Korean Defense Minister Kim Tae Young said, according to the Chosun Ilbo newspaper.

According to the Korea Times, the US is likely to send the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USGeorge Washington, as well as nuclear-powered submarines, an Aegis destroyer and amphibious assault landing ships.

The 100,000-ton aircraft carrier, based at Yokosuka in Japan, can accommodate about 6,250 crew members and carry some 90 fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, the paper said.

It was not known whether the US carrier has been dispatched. Earlier reports suggested that the Obama administration was debating whether to send the carrier to the Yellow Sea, as such a maneuver could anger China or cause North Korea to react violently, the Washington Post said on June 19.

Japan's Mainichi Daily reported Thursday that the George Washington left Yokosuka on June 14. Following the completion of Japan-US joint military exercises, it would head to the Yellow Sea.

According to Chinese military analysts, the detection and attack range of the George Washington is about 1,000 kilometers.

If it enters the Yellow Sea, China's territorial sea, the entire North China region and the majority of Liaodong Peninsula would be within its range.

China's foreign ministry voiced its concern Tuesday about the report that a US aircraft carrier may join the military exercise with South Korea and would closely follow developments.

"Under the current situation, the relevant parties should exercise restraint and refrain from escalating tensions and harming the interests of the countries in the region," said Qin Gang, the military's spokesman, at a regular news briefing.

The Yellow Sea is situated between the Korean Peninsula and China's Shandong Peninsula, where some of China's naval and air bases are located.

The joint US-South Korea military exercises are not uncommon. But they usually take place off South Korea's eastern coast.

An exception occurred in 1994 when the US sent its aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk to the Yellow Sea, tracking down a Chinese navy submarine, which had just finished exercises.

Chen Hu, chief editor of World Military Affairs magazine, argued that a direct military threat from the naval drills is not the biggest concern of China, as the Chinese military has the ability to counter the threat from its fleet, headed by a larger carrier, which the US is also aware of.

"The move by the US is rather a military showing-off to deter its rivals and win over its allies. The publicity has successfully stirred up the atmosphere and caught public attention," Chen told the Global Times.

These techniques are frequently used by the US before joint exercises with other countries, he added.

Besides stating the government's stance on the issue through diplomacy, China should also make a military response and hold exercises in the same waters, Chen suggested.

"The US carrier-headed fleet would be a perfect target for military exercises. We can get a lot of information through observing and simulation of counterattack," Chen said.

Yin Zhuo, a senior researcher at the navy's Equipment Research Center said, "It's not easy to spy on them, which requires the deployment of early warning aircraft, ferret aircraft and land-based reconnaissance measures."

Yin added that the move exerts more diplomatic and political pressure on China than a military one.

Li Daguang, of the National Defense University, said the possible deployment of the US aircraft carrier is a test of China's strategic bottom line.

Meanwhile, Li warned against an over-interpretation of the matter, especially when China-US military ties are tense.

"The joint exercises are mainly aimed at deterring North Korea, but the US should consider the interests of concerned countries as the drills are in sensitive waters," Li added.

Military exchanges between Beijing and Washington have been stalled since the Obama administration notified Congress in January of plans to sell Taiwan up to $6.4 billion in arms.

Earlier this month, China also rejected a proposed visit by US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.

First "Relgious Games" in China

Participants form five different religions take part in China's first 'Religious Games'.

In the southwest province of Yunnan; Buddhists, Muslims, Taoists, Catholics and Protestants compete in a variety of sporting events.

The traditional robes of Buddhists - cut short - didn't stop them from jumping on the basketball court, running on the track, or pulling a rope in the tug-of-war.

The Games also included table tennis and a battle of contemplative wits in Chinese chess.

Also an unusual cycling competition with the cyclist who rode the slowest winning the event.

The provincial news agency said the teams were not always divided along religious lines, with Buddhists, Taoists and Muslims often on the same side.

The officially secular China has been accused by human rights groups of heavy-handed treatment of religious minorities.

But the event organizers said the Games aim to increase exchanges between different religious believers in China.

U.S. higher-education system

Does this article apply to you?

If you are at least somewhat smart and ambitious and if you are pursuing a career in which a Master's degree is at all useful (most fields) and you intend to get one, and if the cost of  tuition is an issue, then this article applies to you.
The main reason that this article may not apply (other than being filthy rich): a Bachelor's degree is your terminal degree, and you don't have the capacity or motivation to excel above other students at a state-run 4-year institution. If your SATs are above 1200, then your only excuse is laziness. In most careers, a Master's degree is required. Only your terminal school matters; I discuss here how to exploit this.
The Optimal Path

First off, because it's relevant here, my credentials: I'm a PhD student at Stanford. I've seen many people, some very close to me, go through the University system. I've seen what works and what doesn't.

Here's the typical failure story: Pay $40k/year to go to a "prestigious" private school (say, "Brown", a very good school), graduate $100k in debt, and do a Masters at a nameless school that offers a financial aid package, e.g., San Jose State, because more debt would be unbearable. Here's the thing: the Brown education just became worthless.

Employers care almost exclusively about your last degree: you are now a San Jose State graduate.

Here's what I view to be the optimal path: Go to a cheap (but flagship) state school (e.g., Penn State), enroll in the Honors program (due to great high school grades), pay virtually nothing, and then (marginally) get into an incredible Master's program at a school like Princeton; although admissions are unexpectedly lax, most people won't be able to pay that price, but because you skimped on undergrad, you're able to pay it. Congrats: you're a Princeton grad. For $60K. You gamed the system: you got the pedigree for just one years' tuition, at a school you probably couldn't have been admission to for undergrad.
How to game the system

Books abound on the subject. I will give the salient points here.

High School

Obviously, get near-straight A's. I know it seems hard now, but you have no idea how important this effort is to your future; an hour spent to get an A now is as important to your future as 100 hours during your PhD. Man up and do it; I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Take AP classes, and do a few extracurriculars. Obviously, if you enjoy one particularly, then do it. Otherwise, if you're just doing it for show, you might as well juice it up: do debate club and a sport (like tennis or golf). It will (probably incorrectly, but that's okay) show that you're both well-rounded and smart, with a minimal time investment.

Here's what virtually nobody knows, but is very important: DO RESEARCH (by this, I mean, do academic research with the hope of publishing in a journal). Virtually none of your peers will do this--they just don't get it. But, second-hand reports from a Stanford admissions officer suggest that doing some (necessarily, mundane) research for a college professor is the most important factor in admissions. Mass-email professors (by that, I mean, send at least 20 profs carefully tailored and personalized emails offering your services for free), even at very low-rate universities. Take the best position you get--this will likely be the key that moves you to the top of the stack of college applicants. Do you notice that this is a hard, awkward step? Only the ambitious do it, and because of that anybody who does it will likely be successful. That's why it matters.
Your main goal (unless money is no object) should be getting either a) free-ride admission to a great private school, or (more likely, and nearly as good) b) admission to the "honors college", or its equivalent, at the state school at which you receive in-state tuition. I know it's not your dream college--but trust me, you won't regret not being saddled with $120K of debt. And, state schools are particularly known for sending their top students to great grad schools.
College

Take this phase of your career very seriously. The professors may hold an "A+" carrot in front of you--don't go for it. Or, at least, go for in the context of what it means for your future. Remember, your only point in college (besides having fun and developing as a person) is to get into your chosen Masters program: the prestige of your Masters program determines your future salary, job, and status.

Here's the key: LISTEN: PAY ATTENTION. THIS IS IMPORTANT: Your grades are only 1/3 of your admissions profile. Commonly, students treat grades more seriously than they should. Here are three almost equally weighted components of your grad school application:

1)    Grades: The courses in your major matter most.

2)    Recommendations: Can your recommenders cite specific examples of your great research abilities?

3)    Standardized Test Scores: Are they exceptional? You have no excuse to not have exceptional test scores.

Let me address these in order:

Grades: Of course these are important; but, did your efforts to get great grades detract from the other 2/3 of your application? In particular, are the grades you received in your major `excellent'? Don't sacrifice these grades to get good general-education grades; if you're going for Chemistry, nobody cares that you got a B- in English Literature. Focus on the Chemistry.
Recommendations: Who will recommend you? There should be two types of good recommenders: 1) those who advised you on some serious research, and 2) those whose classes you absolutely aced. If you're entering college, you need to carefully evaluate who these professors are, and enthusiastically engage them. Don't make them write rec's without concrete details; admissions officials are tuned to that.
Standardized Test Scores: These are 1/3 of your application. Do them well. I can only speak of the GRE, because it's the only grad-level standardized test that I've taken. Regarding the GRE, here are two tips:

*    Never get a math problem wrong. Never. If you got it wrong (during a practice test), then re-do the entire test until you get everything right. Never rush yourself.  Once you get in the habit of not making mistakes, it will persist during the test.

*    Start practicing the vocab very early. Two years until you take the test? Perfect. Learn, specifically, the `Barrons' book. If you learn each word, you will get a  near-800 on Verbal GRE, Guauranteed, and you will be instantly considered among the top applicants.

Of the math and verbal tests, only one can be gamed easily. It's the verbal. The math requires some knowledge (some tricks can help with time management, but in the end it comes down to real ability), but the verbal is totally and absolutely game-able. I studied the Barron's book, and there was not a single word on the test that I did not see in that guide; it's a simple vocabulary test, and you have no excuse not to ace it. If you memorize every word in the book (it takes a year to condition your mind to remember the definitions, but only minutes to memorize words thereafter)  then you will get an 800, virtually guaranteed.
Consider also that your composite (math + verbal) score is considered, but that it is easier to get a high score on verbal than math. I got an 800 on math and 740 on verbal; yet my percentile on math was ~92nd percentile, while my verbal was ~99th percentile. Gaming this system is a bit complicated: suffice to say, if you memorize the vocab (esp. over the course of a year or more), your composite score will be excellent.
Rationale

Why should you focus on buying a quality grad school degree, instead of a quality undergrad degree? Here are three reasons

  1. Grad schools is shorter. Since tuition in grad and undergrad is similar, grad school ends up costing less.

  2. State schools are respected. Grad schools want great grad students: they're the schools' lifeblood; and, grad schools know that  many, many great students need to go to state schools for financial reasons. It's free-market economics. Exploit it.

  3. Grad school is more important. Particularly, whether you're moving up or down: consider (a) undergrad at Penn State, grad at Harvard, vs. (b) undergrad at Harvard, grad at Penn State. Option (a) is universally considered better, and costs much less.

  4. Grad admissions are more lax: It's far easier to get into a great grad school than undergrad school, if you can pay the tuition (which is the whole point of going to the state school).

Geely car sales

A spokesman of China's private carmaker Geely said Thursday the company plans to sell two million cars globally by 2015.

Victor Young, Director of Public Relations of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co Ltd, said the company has reorganized its research institutes to help the company design more than 40 car models annually before 2015.

"Geely hopes to roll out more new car models faster and more efficiently," Young told Xinhua at an auto exhibition being held in Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin province.

In the first half of 2010, Geely sales reached 195,734 units, up 42.1 percent from the same period last year. The company aims to sell 400,000 vehicles for the full year.

The automaker has put 24 cars on show at the 7th China Changchun International Automobile Fair which opened Thursday. More than 900 car models are displayed at the fair.

Geely earlier said it has won approval from the European Union regulators to buy Sweden's iconic Volvo Cars. The company said it expected to finish the acquisition in the third quarter of this year.

Vuvuzelas banned from rugby game

The noise of the vuvuzelas may not be heard after the World Cup as some other sports have banned them from grounds, with rugby taking the lead.

South Africa have confirmed that they will take on the All Blacks in a Tri-Nations Test at National Stadium, also known as Soccer City, in Soweto on August 21 but officials have maintained that the plastic horns will not be welcomed.

"We'd rather not have vuvuzelas because they will drown out calls by players at line-outs and scrums," Golden Lions President Kevin de Klerk told reporters in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

The 88,791-seat stadium will host the final of the FIFA World Cup on July 11 and creates the possibility of the largest home crowd at a Springbok Test since the touring British & Irish Lions drew an estimated 95,000 to Ellis Park in 1955.

The vuvuzela has already been banned from the tests in New Zealand, with Eden Park chief executive David Kennedy maintaining that "any vuvuzelas brought to the venue will be confiscated."

Meanwhile, the horns have also been banned from the streets of Pamplona for the opening of the San Fermin running of the bulls.

NBA charity game

Milwaukee Bucks star Brandon Jennings scored 23 points to give his team, composed of NBA stars, a 101-95 victory over Chinese men's national team here on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Jennings sank 10 out of 17 shots, pocketing a match-high 23 to shine in the charity-oriented game, which witnessed an exchange of players from both sides in the second half.

Toronto Raptors' Amir Johnson added 21 for the NBA star team which also featured All-Star guard Steve Nash from the Suns, Clippers' talisman Baron Davis, as well as Chase Budinger and Aaron Brooks from the Houston Rockets.

Shooting guard Yu Shulong notched a team-high 15 for China and forward Yi Li added 14.

Yao Ming, who launched the Charity tour, sat out Saturday's game as the 2.26-meter center still was recovering from the reconstructive foot surgery in the last season. The Chinese national squad also missed some big names like Yi Jianlian of the Washington Wizards and scoring guard Liu Wei.

The exhibition game is part of the Yao Foundation Charity Tour aiming to raise fund to help improve educational environment for poor children in Western China.

The tour also includes a donation-raising banquet on Friday, with a total of some 9.94 million yuan raised through charity auctions, and another exhibition game in the city of Taipei next Wednesday.

The Yao Foundation was established in 2008 in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in China's Sichuan Province.

The Foundation has helped to rebuild six schools in the quake-stricken area. According to the NBA All Star center, three schools have been completed, and the remaining three are to be completed by September.

Besides helping build schools, the Yao Foundation also commits
